As a guest of Gallery Yves Laroche, Marcel Barbeau participates in the third Montreal Contemporary Art Fair of works on paper. Thre works from 1957 to 1991 can be seen. “Gestes 5”, a rare in China ink of 1957, isone of the highlight of the whole art fair. “Voyage pour le temps futur”, a fine gouache of 1959 forecast Barbeau’s evelution towards minimalism in the early Sixties, while a strong collage of 1991, insired several of the artist’s paintings of the late 20 years of his production.

The fair is organized by AGAC, the Quebec association of contemporary art galleries. It takes place at the Black Watch Armary, 2067 Bleury Street in Montreal, Métro Place des arts.
