“The honors accumulate for Marcel Barbeau. The Saint-Jean-Baptiste (SSJB) society has just awarded the famous painter and sculptor with the prestigious Louis-Philippe-Hébert Award for the fine arts. Let us remind that a little earlier this spring, the artist living in l’Île-des-Sœurs was honored by the Canada Council of the Arts, receiving The Governor general award in visual arts and in media arts. ”
