MARCEL BARBEAU FIFTY YEARS OF ART 1953-2003

Widely inspired by the exhibition of the Gallerie d’arts contemporains of Montreal, Prince Arthur Fine Arts presents in Toronto (Ontario, Canada) an overview of the production of Marcel Barbeau since 1953, adopting partially the path of the traveling exhibition of the Musée du Bas Saint-Laurent, “Marcel Barbeau Le Fleuve en escales 1953-1990.”

Prince Arthur Fine Arts is located in Yorkville, the main area of Toronto Art Galleries, at 33 Prince Arthur (Ontario), Canada.

Barbeau exhibited in Paris this Fall

Marcel Barbeau is part of the exhibition “In Praise of small size in contemporary art”, an annual event organized by Who’s Who in International Art. Known for his large format paintings and monumental sculptures, for which he is best represented in public collections, Marcel Barbeau is also interested in a smaller format and has been since forty years.

This exhibition is being held at the Cultural Centre Christiane Peugeot, from November 5 to 10.

The Cultural Centre Christiane Peugeot is located at:

The Exhibition Center of Baie St. Paul presents an exhibition of the recent large sizes works of Marcel Barbeau for its fall and winter season 2003-2004. The exhibition, which occupies two main halls of Charlevoix contemporary art center, covers the production of pictorial artist since his residence in Bagnolet, near Paris, in October 1996. Barbeau has created four large paintings especially for this event, during the summer of 2003, while staying at Pointe au Pic in Charlevoix County.
