«Ouvri», exceptional painting of Marcel Barbeau, was awarded $ 86,250 at the Heffel auction in May 22. It has been a long time since a work so important of the artist had been offered in auction room. “Ouvri” is one of the rare major oil of the artist, dating from the automatiste period, which is not already in a public collection and it is certainly one of the most brilliant of its production of 1956, while Barbeau reached his artistic maturity.
