Two Barbeau’s paintings at contemporary Art Museum of Montreal

Since April 11, we can see two works by Marcel Barbeau at the Contemporary Art Museum of Montreal, in the new exhibition of abstract works from the museum’s collection. Under the title “La question d’abstraction”, the exhibition includes pieces by artists of different generations who have contributed to the development of abstract art in Quebec since the forties. Two major works by Marcel Barbeau that shows his immense contribution to the development of this issue in Canadian art art presented: “Le tumulte à la mâchoire crispée” (1946) and “Rétine virevoltante” (1966).
