Since April 11th, we can see two Marcel Barbeau’s works to the Museum of contemporary art of Montreal, within the framework of the new exhibition of abstract works from the collection of the museum. Under the title ” Question de l’abstraction “, the exhibition includes artists’ of various generations which contributed to the development of abstract art in Quebec since the forties. Two Marcel Barbeau’s major works so testify of his contribution to the development of this question in the Canadian art: ” Le tumult à la machoire crispée ” (1946), and ” Rétine virevoltante  ” ( 1966 ).
